I live to cooperate, I like to participate...and I love to compete...

In the beginning of the season, in my second meet I ran the 100 in 11.28, which  looked like a promising start.  However, that same meet I pulled my hamstring in the 4x100 relay.  So after three weeks, I tried running the 100 again but pulled up this time on my left.  After healing again, the coaches and I decided that it would not be smart to run the 100m in league.  So I was only able to run the 100 once.

v i d e o   I competed in the 200m indoors at the Simplot Games.  Competition was extremely fierce, and only top 16 made finals.  I placed first in my heat and was tenth out of 16 so I qualified for finals.  There were two heats in the finals, top 8 placing in the fast final.  I placed third in my heat with a time of 22.79 which put me 11th overall out of 106 competitors.  After that, due to injury of both hamstrings I was not able to run the 200m again until All City where I placed first with a time of  22.89.  Then I ran the two at league where I placed second with a time of 22.8.  Sub-district I pulled up on my left hamstring for the second time this season.
All City was the first time I competed in the 300m IH because of the aforementioned injuries of my hamstrings.  I placed second at All City with a time of 41.98.  Next, I ran at league and again placed second with a time of 41.03.  At Sub-district meet I placed the 6th best time with another PR of 40.7.  This time qualified me to go to district but because I pulled up in the 200m, which was after the 300's, I was not able to continue.
I also jumped at the  Simplot Games .  To qualify for finals, a jump of 20'6" was required.  However, I missed the mark by a hair, jumping 20'5".
During the second week of recovering from my right hamstring pull, I was allowed to throw.  So, for a week I trained with the throwers in the discus and shot put.  I competed in the shot put the following meet and threw 34'2", good for 3rd place.
